Join us on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, for a Shopping Night. The Shopping Night will be held at Ten Thousand Villages, located at 2424A Rice Boulevard in Rice Village. 15% of net sales during the Shopping Night will be donated to our group. Ten Thousand Villages is a nonprofit, self-supporting, non-governmental, and fair-trade organization, designed to benefit artisans — not to maximize profits. They market hand-made products (jewelry, toys, musical instruments, household accessories, and holiday décor) from artisans in low-income countries and provide consumers around the world with products that have been fairly purchased from sustainable resources. We look forward to seeing you there.
Nationally recognized for its commitment to social responsibility, Ten Thousand Villages creates opportunities for artisans around the globe to earn a fair wage. Artisans use this income to pay for food, education, healthcare, and housing for themselves and their families.
Ten Thousand Villages’ mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to markets through long-term fair trading relationships.
