Monday’s Houston Matters program on KUHF radio 88.7 FM featured Center Executive Director Cherry Steinwender, retired sociologist Craig Oettinger, and civil rights attorney and Center member Chhaya Phatarpekar. They talked about the work of the Center in Houston, racism in all of its forms, and, from Chhaya’s unique perspective, issues facing the Sikh community, people in India, and what people of other countries face coming to the U.S.
