2017 Ally Award Recipient Dara Silverman
Dara Silverman served as the founding director of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), building the collective for white anti-racist allies from a group of 12 chapters to 150 chapters during her tenure. She has been promoting socioeconomic and racial justice for over 20 years, writing about conflict and identity in tense times, and serving as the Executive Director of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) for 6 years from 2003-2009.
